Teach the Three "R´s" in your Classroom

There are many nice ways to have a greener school year. This is a list of simple and easy ideas you can implement in your classroom, in no time, and with no cost!

1-Encourage the use of reusable containers
Encourage your students to use reusable containers to hold their snacks-so that no plastic or paper has to be thrown away. This is a great way to reuse.

2- Have a Scrap Paper Box

Keep a scrap paper box in a convenient place in your classroom. This is a great way to renew!

3- Lunch Boxes
Encourage your students to recycle any packing in their lunch boxes. Ask them to use a cloth napkin instead of a paper one. They can reuse it! Just count all your school days.....that´s how many paper napkins you saved.

Did you know that if you use a disposable lunch, you create between 4-8 ounces of garbage everyday? That can add up to as much as 100 pounds per year!
